Welcome, to the 2,000 YL members who sailed with us on our 2017 Global Leadership Cruise to the Caribbean and Central America! We are pleased you could share this amazing trip with us.

As we enjoy each other’s company, we will also see the spectacular ruins of the Mayan civilization. Descendants of the Mayans live today in Guatemala, southern Mexico, Honduras, Belize, and El Salvador.

We know of the stunning architecture left by these people, but questions about natural health come to mind when we think of them. We now know that the Mayan lived close to nature, and their love for and use of native plants and trees contributed greatly to their health.

Yes, we will see Mayan pyramids at Chichen Itza and the ruins in Belize. We will also see lush jungle vegetation and discuss the life-supporting plants and trees that played an important role in the life of the Mayan people.
